AI infographic creation

Every teacher knows the satisfying moment when he or she realises that the pupils have grasped the opportunity and have been able to use it in the right way. This is exactly the experience we had when working with Year 9 pupils on the possibilities of using artificial intelligence in the classroom.
It was enough to show students the basic direction and principles of working with AI. They did the rest on their own – creatively, independently and with a taste for discovery. They created infographics from different subjects, such as history, to help them better understand the material, organise their notes and visualise important information.
It was the visualisation of the material that proved to be a very effective tool to support their own learning. Artificial intelligence did not play a major role here, but became a facilitator that allowed students to focus on the essentials – thinking, selecting information and processing it in a meaningful way.
In our work we also touched upon the issue of inaccuracies or errors in AI outputs. However, these also served as a great stimulus to develop critical thinking, validate information and evaluate content.
This experience confirmed that AI has a place in school – especially when it helps pupils to learn actively, independently and intelligently.
