On 15th January 2026 our German students took part in the district round of the German Language Olympiad, which took place at the Leisure Time Centre on Kuzmányho Street in Žilina.
This challenging competition tested pupils in five disciplines: reading comprehension, listening to a recording, a test and an oral part, which consisted of a description of a picture and a free narration on a chosen topic.
In category 1A fought for the position Šimon Palko from VI.SB and Patrik Kasenčák from VII.SVA.
In the category of older pupils 1B competed Alžbeta Gaštanová from VIII.EA and Michal Ondruš from VIII.EB.
All four of them are to be highly commended for their courage, effort and the time they devote to German.
