On Thursday, April 7, we spent a really adventurous time with our eighth graders at the Regional Library in Žilina. We didn’t have to sit in school desks, we didn’t try, instead we walked…
Who doesn’t like adventure? We all know the answer to this poetic question, so we were happy to join in. The lecturer from the fiction department, Mr. Goran Lenčo, fulfilled our expectations to the dot: we learned many interesting facts about the development of this popular genre in literature or film form from its origins to the current popular fantasy, we read, competed, even creatively versed and curiously peeked into the thirteenth chamber of Mr. Goran – a poet and writer.
Well, it was different from the literature class at school, it was personal, experiential, creative and engaging, in a word – a great diversification of the routine class. Give it a try, we highly recommend it.
