Excursion Long Pole

On June 25, just before the graduation, we had some unconventional, mostly experiential learning with our fifth graders. We went to Long Field for tinkering craft. In the family home of Jozef Holánik Bakeľ we were welcomed for the second time by his great-grandson Juraj Šerík, we learned interesting facts about the history of tinkering, we saw a beautiful exposition of both utilitarian and decorative tinkering products and, most importantly, we took home precious souvenirs – handmade hearts, rings, bracelets… For a while we became little tinkers! It was worth coming back to the tinker museum.
