Today was dedicated to the topic of water for our first graders. On the occasion of the upcoming World Water Day, which is commemorated on 22 March, the older pupils from Year 5 – Zoe, Louisa, Gretka and Adelka – prepared an interesting peer education about the importance of water in our lives. During the meeting they asked a lot of questions – what is water important for, where we need it everywhere and also what belongs and what doesn’t belong in water. Together they also watched a short video about the water cycle in nature. In addition, they also prepared fun experiments which were very interesting for all of them – we saw an active volcano, a colourful rainbow made of ribbons and the formation of bubbles.
We thank the teachers and pupils for their activity and help. It was also an opportunity for the fifth graders to test their skills in cooperation, communication and for a while to find themselves in the role of a teacher or coordinator.
