On 23. 05. – 27. 05. 2026, Year 7 pupils took part in an unforgettable school trip to the UK. The trip took us across a slice of Europe to London, where we experienced days full of history, culture and adrenaline.
After an early morning arrival at the port of Calais and a subsequent cross-Channel cruise, our adventure began in Greenwich. We visited the site of the zero meridian and one of the best maritime museums in Europe. We then made our way through the trendy Canary Wharf district into the historic centre to the Tower Fort and the iconic Tower Bridge. The afternoon included a visit to St. Paul’s Cathedral, a walk across the Millennium Bridge to Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre and we finished the day in atmospheric Covent Garden. A great treat was a day spent at Thorpe Park, where we had a good dose of fun on adrenaline-pumping rides, including the country’s fastest roller coaster – Stealth. The end of the trip belonged to unconventional transport. We experienced the unique atmosphere of the London Underground and an Uber Boat cruise on the Thames, during which we sailed directly under the famous bridges. From the water’s surface, we were treated to breathtaking views of the London Eye and the city’s historic landmarks. We used our last moments to soak up the atmosphere in Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square and shopping Oxford Street. We returned home tired but excited! 🙂
