On Tuesday, November 4, we made our everyday school life a little bit more intergenerational with seniors from the nearby Úsmev facility. Time stood still for a moment and traditional learning or rehearsing was replaced by the children’s own poems, the immortal message of Stura’s life for the people performed by our eighth graders, and stimulating conversation with professionals of the age who had something to say to those of us who were born earlier. The irreplaceable face-to-face communication put smiles on the faces of adults and children alike – this too is learning… Perhaps we will repeat it, after all “repetition is the mother of wisdom”…
