Birds are increasingly threatened. By destroying their habitat and livelihoods, humans are contributing significantly to the drastic decline of our common bird species. Feeding throughout the year should therefore be our duty, essential for them to survive. The lives of our birds are not indifferent to our students, but also to our parents. Many fifth and sixth graders, with the help of their parents, have made records of their counts and characteristics. They supplemented the records with beautiful photographs and videos of the birds feeding and even singing. The data they processed was sent to the Slovak Ornithological Society – BirdLife Slovakia and contributed to a better overview of birds in Slovakia. The pupils take care of their feathered visitors all year round with good quality food. They contribute significantly to the conservation of our birds. The experience of being able to observe them at close range is unforgettable. Thank you so much for your time, care and the love you continually show them. I think our “feathered wonders” thank you daily with their beautiful song and presence. The staff of the Slovak Ornithological Society also expressed their great thanks for your work and willingness to cooperate and wish you much strength and motivation in caring for the birds in the future.
