Trip to Vlkolínec

Before the third grade bugs and bees split up for the holidays, they each went to a variety of places, together visiting 20 as part of a school field trip. June the foothill settlement of Vlkolínec. It is inhabited by several permanent residents and provides its visitors with the opportunity to see their typical log houses, bell tower, church. From the story of one of the inhabitants, the children learned about life in the settlement in the past and that Vlkolínec has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1993. In the beautiful foothill surroundings, the children enjoyed the farm animals, refreshed by ice cream in the pleasant restaurant and the fresh water flowing through the settlement. They also enjoyed buying a variety of souvenirs for their loved ones. The journey from the bus parking place to the settlement through the forest path was also pleasant, where the children had the opportunity to learn about the fauna and flora occurring in Veľká Fatra through information boards. The weather treated us to hot sunshine, which, together with a walk in the hilltop settlement, contributed to the healthy tiredness of the happy hikers.
