Tajov and Banská Bystrica – 7th year

Today we had a varied and informative trip with the pupils, during which we visited several interesting places. Our first stop was the birthplace of Jozef Gregor Tajovský in Tajov. The children saw an exhibition dedicated to his life and work – they learned more about his work as a teacher, writer and playwright. Part of the tour was also solving thematic tasks, which brought them closer to the importance of this personality of Slovak literature.
Then we moved to Banská Bystrica, where we visited Matej’s House and the State Scientific Library. In the library the pupils saw an interactive exposition of musical instruments, which they could also try out themselves. In Matej’s House they got acquainted with archaeological and historical exhibits documenting the development of the town and the region. The acquired knowledge was verified at the end with a short quiz, which was a pleasant end to the whole programme.Throughout the whole trip we were accompanied by our teacher L. Tvrdá, who enriched the trip with interesting facts from the surrounding towns such as Strečno, Martin, Vrútky or Harmanec. We thank her for organizing the trip.
