We are very happy because at our school we have a lot of talented pupils in the field of ICT – specifically in programming. This month we announced a competition in programming in the Scratch environment. The theme and assignment at the same time was to program a game with any focus. 7 games were shortlisted and the second grade pupils had the opportunity to play them:
- X F1 Racing – D. Müllner (VI.SB) – link
- Frog and flies – L. Müllnerová (VI.SB) – link
- Flappy Bird – M. Pintrava (V.FA) – link
- Ghostline Miami – M. Jaroš et al. – link
- Space – M. Kuric (VI.SA)- link
- Dangerous strawberries – T. Metelka (VIII.EA) – link
- Ace’s Nightmare – F. Krutil (VI.SA) – link
The pupils, as judges, evaluated 3 areas: the control, the graphic design of the game and the overall impression. Here are the results:
Best controls: game Space (324 points)
Best graphics: frog and flies (321 points)
Best overall impression: X F1 Racing (336 points)
May’s Scratch champion with the highest number of points 956 is
Milan Kuric
(VI.SA) with the game Space. Congratulations.
However, a huge appreciation goes to all the participants, because they proved that they are talented programmers and such a challenge is not a problem for them. You are amazing!
