Discussion with illustrator Stanislav Lajd

Fourth graders from class IV.ŽB visited the Regional Library in Žilina on Tuesday 16.11. There was waiting for them an important personality from Žilina – illustrator Stanislav Lajda, who told them how and why he started drawing, what is illustration, what an illustrator needs to know and know, what he uses and so on. We learned that Mr. illustrator is not only an excellent painter, artist, restorer, but even a teacher. He also showed us many of his pictures and books he has illustrated, many of which our fourth graders are familiar with. Our “frogs” were not afraid to ask him many interesting questions and they enjoyed the discussion very much. Thank you and we are already looking forward to the next visit to our library.
