This morning’s seventh grade class was not about textbook theory, but about saving lives. We welcomed students from the Jessenius Medical Faculty of Charles University in Martin, who prepared an interactive course on the basics of first aid for our pupils. The pupils tried cardiac massage under expert supervision, learned how to correctly perform the Heimlich manoeuvre when choking on a foreign body and also practiced placing a friend in a stable position. Many thanks to the future doctors from the Faculty of Medicine of the Charles University for their time, patience and willingness to pass on valuable knowledge to our students.
