On Tuesday, May 3, clever ladies from the Young Entrepreneur civic association prepared an informative and entertaining “Financial Literacy Workshop” for our fourth graders. The idea of this organization, which brings together young and active people, is to show that education is not boring and should be enjoyed to the fullest with all emotions. Our school chose this program for the first time and the fourth graders liked the different activities, interacted and worked really with passion and interest. They were interested in the information about the different financial currencies in the world, about the security features on banknotes, about the origin and evolution of currency, about the need for money, about the types of money, but also about what a budget is. They played a board game about finances. In groups, they made a poster of a purchase for different occasions, but bounded by a precise budget, etc. This topic is really important and necessary for children in real life. Our clever fourth graders learned a lot
but also contributed richly to discussions and problem solving. You can see their activities and work in the gallery.
