Together with the eighth graders we decided to dedicate our biology lesson to our most endangered and rare habitats – Wetlands, which by the way also have their own international day 🙂 . With Mrs. A. Badurová from the Administration of Mala Fatra National Park, School of Nature Conservation in Varin, we discussed what a wetland is, what threatens them the most, what sites are under protection in Slovakia in the so-called “Ramsar Convention”, how our life directly depends on wetlands, but also how we can preserve these jewels of nature for future generations. We tested our knowledge in a short quiz and a card game with a map. We are looking forward to the next meeting!
