Travelling in Slovakia

Travelling around Slovakia by train, exploring some of our country’s cities and gaining knowledge through experiential learning – that’s the goal of the Bees and Bugs fourth grade classes in the 2022/23 school year. The idea arose in connection with the main topic in the homeland science – Slovakia.
The first goal of the travellers was a trip to Rajecké Teplice. Getting acquainted with the timetable of the train connection with boarding at the Solinky station started our first short trip. We visited the Museum of Transport, located directly at the Rajecké Teplice train station. We connected the walk through the park with getting acquainted with the immediate surroundings of the town – the neighbouring villages, the surrounding nature and important objects in the town. When we got back, we could then start writing our first travel experiences together. We look forward to the next ones and will be sure to keep you posted. Bees and beetles.
