Excursion Trnava – Modra

On Tuesday 29.11.2022 we went with sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth graders to the theatre and in the footsteps of Ľudovít Štúr.
The Jan Palárik Theatre in Trnava again pleasantly surprised us. The immortal story about the meeting of the pilot and the Little Prince in the vast desert won the hearts of other viewers, our older and younger pupils, including our Slovak teachers, and rightly so – original sets and costumes, excellent direction and acting… After this fascinating artistic experience, we moved to the Ľudovít Štúr Museum in Modra, where the younger sixth graders met the leading figure of our national movement from the 19th century. century and the founder of the contemporary written Slovak language, Ľudovít Štúr, and the older ones learned many other interesting facts from his public and private life. Some of us also visited the Slovak Folk Majolica, we saw a potter’s wheel, glazing and painting of typical Modra ceramics. The end of the excursion was already in the pre-Christmas spirit – the traditional markets in Trnava had a pleasant festive atmosphere and we did not let ourselves be tempted twice… It was a really enjoyable day.
