The theme of the pupils’ performances “Crafts of our ancestors” transported the audience to the times when people made everything they needed with their own hands and every craft had its own charm and meaning. The seventh-graders took on the roles of our ancestors for a while and presented a variety of traditional professions in beautiful folk costumes. <\/p>\n
They turned into hard-working bakers preparing fragrant bread, skilful spinners processing fibres, skilful wood carvers creating from wood, or patient honey makers decorating sweet treats. There were also seamstresses who showed the art of working with needle and thread, glassmakers approaching the fragile beauty of glass, herbalists knowing the power of nature, blacksmiths as a symbol of strength and precision, and beekeepers taking care of their hives. <\/p>\n
With their performances, the pupils not only brought traditional crafts closer, but also pointed out their importance and value, which they still carry today. The event was enriched by an authentic atmosphere that linked the past with the present and reminded us of the richness of the cultural heritage of our ancestors. <\/p>\n\n\t\t
