History is not only about great events and personalities, but also about the everyday life of ordinary people, which we don&#8217;t find much of in history textbooks. In lessons, pupils learn about everyday life in Pompeii, explore what a Roman household looked like and the sounds and smells that surrounded it. We also delved into everyday life in a medieval castle and in London at the time of the Industrial Revolution.<br \/>\nThe Industrial Revolution fundamentally changed people&#8217;s everyday lives. In this lesson we explored how the old world became the modern world and how this transition changed our sensory perceptions.
