On 15.2.2024 the regional round of the Olympiad in the German language took place in N\u00e1mestov. Our school was represented by Dorota Zorkovsk\u00e1, a pupil of the eighth grade, who took 5th place together with another competitor with the same number of points. And this is how Dorota described the competition through her eyes: “Recently I took part in the regional round of the German Olympiad in N\u00e1mestov near the Orava dam. On arrival we were given refreshments and accompanied by the organisers who were kind and helpful. The competition consisted of a written and an oral part. The oral part was harder for me, but the examiners tried to make us feel as comfortable as possible. As the competition was held at the hotel academy, we were given a delicious lunch and even dessert after the competition.
